For this month’s recipe, we bring you this sweet and simple snack that your children will love.
Serves 6 | Prep Time: 22 minutes | Difficulty: Easy
Utensils:
- Muffin/cupcake tray (needs at least 6 holes)
- Mixing bowl
- Spatula
- (Optional) cupcake liners
Ingredients:
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 40g butter
- ¼ cup chopped strawberries
- ¼ cup milk
Note: If you want a little more flavour, add different berries like blueberries or raspberries to the mix!
Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 200°C
- Chop up strawberries to your desired size
- Grease a muffin tray or line a muffin tray with cupcake liners
- In a mixing bowl, sift self-rising and add sugar
- Then combine vanilla, cinnamon, egg, butter, and milk.
- Add the chopped strawberries and stir lightly until combined
- Divide the mixture into the muffin tray and bake for 10-12 minutes
