Easter time means spending time with your children and completing some fun Easter crafts!
Below are three fun DIY projects that are both adorable and easy for your children to make.
DIY Craft 1: Bunny Napkins
You will need:
- White cloth napkins
- Pink acrylic paint
- Small wooden craft beads
- Raffia ribbon
Steps:
- Paint wooden craft beads pink and allow to dry completely.
- Fold the napkins in half corner to corner, then roll up starting from the point.
- Fold rolled-up napkins into a U-shape.
- Loop a length of raffia ribbon around the napkin and through the craft bead.
- Fray the raffia to create whiskers.
DIY Craft 2: Egg Carton Wreath
You will need:
- Empty cardboard egg cartons
- Acrylic paint in pastel colours
- Sheet of cardboard
- Glue and scissors
Steps:
- Cut sheet of cardboard into a circular wreath shape.
- Paint wreath shape green.
- Cut individual egg cups from egg cartons.
- Notch and cut decorative edges with scissors to resemble flowers.
- Paint cups in desired colours.
- Attach cups to painted wreath shape with glue.
DIY Craft 3: Salt Dough Easter Eggs
You will need:
- 1 cup flours
- ½ cup salt
- ½ cup water
- Rolling Pin
- Baking paper-lined baking tray
- A straw
- Acrylic Paint
- Twine
Steps:
- Mix together flour, salt and water and knead together until dough forms.
- Roll out the dough with rolling pin until it’s about half a centimetre thick.
- Cut egg shapes out of the dough.
- Place dough egg shapes onto the baking paper-lined baking tray.
- Make a hole at the top of each egg with straw.
- Bake eggs at 120 degrees Celsius for 2 hours.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
- Paint eggs with desired colours and patterns.
- Thread twine through holes, tie it into a knot and hang.
