Your Local Early Learning Centre shares this month’s activity of the month… Festive cupcake liner tree garland!
Since it is November, it is time to prepare the festive DIY crafts activities to get the kids excited as Christmas is fast approaching. These adorable cupcake liner trees are super easy to make even for the young ones and best of all, you can finally use up those years old cupcake liners that have been sitting in the back of your cupboard!
What you will need:
- Cupcake liners – preferably in festive colours
- Craft Glue
- Sticky tape
- Star-shaped decorations
- Glitter glue
- Stickers
- String
How to prepare:
Start by gathering the cupcake liners and folding them twice to create a triangle shape
Have some fun and mix up the colours while layering three folded cupcake liners to create the tree shape. Use some crafts glue to attach the tip of the triangle to the bottom of the other cupcake liner
Once all of your cupcake liners have been made into little trees, it is time to bring out the creative side of your kids! Gather the star-shaped decorations, glitter glue and stickers. Dress up your Christmas trees to add some dazzle to the decorations.
The last step is to gather your piece of string. Generally, having a 1.5-2 metre piece is a great length to hang up around the house. Arrange your trees along with the piece of string, and attach from the back with a small piece of sticky tape.
And that is all! This DIY activity is super easy and will be sure to keep your kids busy and keen for the festive season.
