Hello to our wonderful Underwood Early Learning Centre families!
Welcome to our August Newsletter and welcome to our new families.
Thank you to our families that have been able to stay home during this lockdown, we appreciate what all our families have been doing to keep us all safe like wearing face masks, social distancing, washing hands and signing in and out each day.
Underwood ELC is in Logan, we will be closed on Monday, August 9th for the Ekka holiday.
Allowable Absent Days
Services in South East Queensland under lockdown will have additional absences applied from 31 July until the end of the lockdown.
Families will not have to use their 42 days of allowable absences during the lockdown.
We’ll backdate the additional allowable absences for these services to the start of the lockdown.
If anyone is experiencing difficulty you can apply for support under the Additional Child Care Subsidy (temporary financial hardship) through Centrelink.
We are holding an Ekka Open Day, (If lockdown is lifted by then) this promotes our centre to new families. If you have family, friends or neighbours that may need care for their children please feel free to bring them along on Saturday 28th August. It’s going to be a fun day.
