Welcome to our new families who have recently started with us.
Higher CCS Subsidy
From 7 March 2022, families with more than one child aged 5 or younger in care may have received a higher subsidy for some children. The ‘standard rate child’ is usually your CCS eldest eligible child, aged 5 or under. For this child, you’ll continue to receive the standard CCS rate that you’re eligible for based on your family income estimate. The ‘higher rate child’ refers to your younger eligible child or children. You’ll receive a higher subsidy rate for them. Some families need to note that once your eldest child turns 5 the higher subsidy rate will cease, and you will then receive the standard rate of CCS. Room Changes
Room changes for some children will take effect from Monday 23rd May. If your child is moving to a new room, you would have received an email outlining the room change and the educators who will be in your child’s new room.
Reminders
Sick Children – We are coming into cold and flu season and still have COVID-19 active within the community. We are reminding parents that sick children need to be kept at home. Children coughing, have temperatures or are generally unwell should not be bought into the Centre. If your child is sick on arrival, staff will kindly ask that you take your child home. We do understand that you need to attend work however, our COVID-19 safe plan is still in place, and this includes any symptoms of illness.
Toys from Home – We have noticed an increase in children bringing toys from home. We ask that you refrain from doing so as toys often end up broken or misplaced. Staff cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged toys.
Spare clothes – We ask that you supply two sets of spare clothes daily in case your child becomes wet playing outdoors, has an accident or becomes dirty from participating in messy play activities. These items can be kept in your child’s bag. Please remember to label all your child’s belongings.
