Hello to our wonderful Doolandella Early Learning Centre families!
From The Office
Welcome to our new families who have recently started with us. We are in our busiest time of the year with only 7 weeks to Christmas.
With the renovations taking shape and nearly complete in Junior Playground, the Kindergarten children have been busy planting vegetables in the new garden beds. This experience provides them with opportunities to continue their learning of plant lifecycles and to demonstrate an appreciation of living things. The children will continue to water the vegetables daily with assistance from other classes as part of our sustainability program.
Kindergarten Graduation
Kindergarten Graduation will take place on Thursday the 9th of December for all children attending Prep next year. Graduation will be held at the Forest Lake Tavern, 245 Forest Lake Blvd, Forest Lake.
We will be holding separate session times for each class. Kindergarten 1 will graduate at 5:30pm and Kindergarten 2 will graduate at 4:30pm
Please arrive 30 minutes before your child’s graduation start time. This will allow educators time to dress your child in gowns and hats. Parents of children with long hair, please do not put your child’s hair in a high ponytail or piggy tails as we have difficulty putting hats on.
RSVP’s are due Friday 26th November.
Children’s Christmas Party
The children’s Christmas party will be held at the Service on Friday the 10th of December starting at 6:00pm. Masks will be mandatory. Raffle tickets will go on sale soon and a selection of raffles will be on display in the foyer.

Holiday Forms
If you are planning on taking holidays over the December / January period please see Renae or Gayna in the office to complete a Holiday Form.
Absent Days
As we are coming into the festive season and children are often absent during these occasions it is important to notify the service of their absence. More importantly, families only have 42 allowable absent days per financial year. Once 42 days have been reached, you are required to provide a medical certificate for their absence.
